This latest point-and-shoot digital camera from Canon is a looker. A new iteration in the Ixus line-up, the Canon Ixus 300HS promises high speed, better low-light performance and manual controls in an ultra-compact camera.

The Ixus 300HS (also known as PowerShot SD4000 IS) has some pretty nice specs with a 10MP CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 processor.

Canon Ixus 300HS
10-megapixel 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor
28-105mm (35mm equivalent)
3.8x optical zoom

720p HD video
Image Stabilization
ISO 125 – 3200

The Ixus 300HS has some interesting features out of the box — 240fps video @ 320×240, hi-speed burst at 8.4 shots/sec and creative shooting (Fish-Eye and Miniature Effect). All in a stainless-steel body.

Price ranges from Php24,950 in mall stores down to just Php17,900 in the gray market. Comes in black, silver and red, the latter adding some eye-candy to the unit.

  1. Looks more like a toy than a digital camera..lol! :D

  2. Hmm, as for me, it looks like a bulged-up Nokia N70 at first glance, haha :D
But that’s one nice camera though. :) I like the built in fish-eye feature :)

  3. i actually like the design! looks rugged.. hindi na kailangan ng “bumper”

kung gumagawa lang ng celfone ang canon.. may paglalagyan ang iphone!

lagyan mo lang ng sim yan, ok na!

  4. nice…the red one looks cool! I sure hope they create one in white!

Black and silver are too common for a digicam.

  5. naalala ko tuloy yung laruang camera dati(color red)na nilalagyan ng bilog na karton na may negative… para makita yung picure…..

it looks like a toy.. but cool design..pang yuppie.

  6. I hope you post a review soon :)

  7. Just want to know where is the gray market that you have mentioned on your blog? Well I’m interested on that product.

  8. save yourself 24,950 (17k at black market) and get the Canon s95 instead. Better in every aspect.
