Apple has confirmed that the iPadOS 16 releases on October 24—over a month after the release of iOS 16. The macOS Ventura also releases on the same day.
Previously, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the iPadOS 16 is set to release alongside iOS 16 in September, but certain issues emerge in the software’s beta testing.
The iPadOS 16 drew criticisms from the developers as being buggy, had a confusing interface, especially due to bugs with the iPad’s new multitasking feature, Stage Manager.
The said feature is available in beta versions of macOS and iPadOS, of which Gurman claimed the latter version was too buggy, and Apple had to rework it.
Now that Apple unveiled the new set of iPads and iPad Pro M2, they are expected to ship with the latest and stable release of iPadOS 16.
