Ookla recently released a report showing the world capitals with the fastest, and slowest, 5G median download speeds during Q1-Q2 2021.   Starting with the fastest, Oslo, Norway topped the list of 15 world capitals with a 5G median download speed of 526.74 Mbps. However, when it comes to the slowest, Manila, Philippines is among the 10 world capitals with the slowest 5G download speed at 112.23 Mbps, beating Singapore at 111.20 Mbps, and Warsaw, Poland at 80.18 Mbps. DITO Telecommunity underwent its 5th and final technical audit in its commitment to ensure at least 84% population coverage in the Philippines. The telecoms company revealed today that they've completed and passed the last technical audit by a 3rd-party auditing firm and the NTC for the committed 84% coverage and 55Mbps minimum average mobile internet speed. The audit revealed DITO passed both tests with an population coverage of 86.3%, a 92Mbps minimum average 4G speed and 597Mbps minimum average 5G mobile internet speed. The results also showed improvements over the performance of DITO on its first year of operations in 2021 -- The 1st audit back January 7, 2021, DITO has an average speed of 507.5 Mbps for 5G and 85.9 Mbps for 4G. The router supports tri-band WiFi 7 with speeds up to 19Gbps, plus two 10G and four 2.5G ports for wired setups.
