Infinix has announced a free three-month trial of Google AI Plus (2TB) for users of select smartphones, giving access to Google's AI tools and cloud storage at no extra cost. According to Infinix, the partnership aims to make AI tools more accessible to users, especially in emerging markets. Some of the included tools allow users to draft and proofread emails using Gemini in Gmail, generate images from text prompts with Nano Banana 2, and create study plans and research materials through Gemini and NotebookLM. The expansion reflects Google’s broader push to integrate AI tools directly into everyday browsing, turning Chrome into a more interactive and assistant-driven experience. They can use this instead of manually using multiple apps and tools. Google has announced new tools for its Gemini AI that allow users to import memories and chat history from other AI apps. OpenAI confirmed the shutdown affects both the consumer app and its web tools for video generation. OpenAI’s image generation tools in ChatGPT remain unaffected by the move.
