Soon after, YouTube and Amazon have joined Netflix and will reduce the maximum streaming quality to the Standard Definition (SD) or 480p. In particular, we have Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Apple TV+. Meanwhile, both Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV+ offer standalone plans, priced at Php149 and Php369 a month, respectively. For context, that’s 480p viewing, which is a lower quality as compared to high definition, a.k.a. Amazon Prime Video Next up, we have Amazon Prime Video which has a standalone subscription for Php149 a month. Notably, Amazon Prime Video also offers original content and the most popular ones that I’ve watched so far are the anti-hero series The Boys and the animated superhero series Invincible. Furthermore, Amazon Prime Video is also bundled with some load promos from DITO, albeit it’s limited to one mobile device and capped at SD quality.
