Earlier this week, AMD took the wraps off on the latest addition to the “Godavari” accelerated processing unit (APU) lineup, the unlocked AMD A8-7670k. As far as compute performance in concerned, AMD’s new accelerated processing unit is geared to go up against the Intel Core i3-4160 which is in the same price point ($110-120 range). Based on their internal testing the A8-7670K outperforms its rival on all three categories listed on AMD’s presentation. Once again, the A8-7670K came out on top by providing better frame rates on all online games that were ran during AMD’s internal testing.
