Apple has unveiled a newly re-designed Macbook Air (2022) that also runs on the latest Apple M2 chip. The 2022 Macbook Air is also bigger with a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina Display due to the thinner bezels around it. The new Macbook Air 2022 will be powered by the M2 chip which has an 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine and up to 24GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage. Apple is also reviving the Magsafe and it will be available on the new Macbook Air, plus the two old USB Type-C ports. Apple has set the release date of the new Macbook Air in the Philippines this July 2022. Apple has introduced a new MacBook Air powered by the M5 chip, bringing faster performance, improved AI capabilities, and larger starting storage to the company’s thin and lightweight laptop. Apple said the MacBook Air with M5 can deliver up to four times faster AI performance compared to the previous M4 model, and up to 9.5 times faster than the MacBook Air with the M1 chip. The new MacBook Air includes Apple’s N1 wireless chip, which supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 for faster and more reliable wireless connections.
