AYANEO has unveiled its latest flagship Android handheld gaming console, the AYANEO Pocket S2, at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2025. This launch marks the global debut of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 gaming platform, positioning the Pocket S2 as a significant advancement in handheld gaming technology.  The device is powered by the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 chipset, offering a 30% increase in CPU performance and a 28% boost in GPU capabilities compared to its predecessor. Acer has expanded its gaming lineup with the launch of the Predator Atlas 8, a new Windows-based handheld gaming device designed for portable PC gaming. The handheld also supports ray tracing and Intel XeSS 3 AI upscaling technology for gaming performance improvements. According to Acer, it includes the first metal fan used in a gaming handheld. A new leak suggests that OnePlus may be working on its own gaming handheld, potentially entering the growing market of portable gaming devices. According to early details, the rumored device could feature an 8-inch display, positioning it closer to larger handhelds designed for immersive gaming. If confirmed, this would mark OnePlus’ first move into the handheld gaming space, a category that has been gaining traction with both PC-based and Android-powered devices.
