Another popular blog gets sold to big media. Last Friday, word went out that Rafat Ali's paidContent.org blog (including mocoNews, contentSutra and paidContent:UK) was acquired by Guardian Media Group (GMG) for a reported $30 Million. paidContent was among the group of blogs founded and authored by former journalist Rafat Ali under the ContentNext company. He won't be retiring any soon -- he will still run the blog independently of GMG. The blog is said to be earning about $1 annually from ads. Earlier this year, another huge blog, Ars Technica, was also sold for an estimated $25 million. Big bloggers are cashing in on their exit strategy. Bumped into Art Samaniego of Manila Bulletin during the Nokia N82 Adventure II launch this afternoon and he casually mentioned that there's a new Canon Lens Sale promo going on at Digital Zone.
