So it looks like Cisco just wasted $590 million when it bought Pure Digital Technologies, maker of the Flip video, back in 2009. The Flip has only been recently launched in the Philippines (November 2010) so this news is a bit of a surprise. Looks like Cisco is not doing good so it will be dropping some parts of its business to concentrate on its core competencies. Not really a big surprise that Cisco came out with its own tablet PC but running it on Android seems like a good move. Called the Cisco Cius, this Android-powered tablet was specifically made as a collaboration business tablet.
