The Recording Academy hosts the annual Grammy Awards to recognize exceptional achievements within the music industry. Now they have added a new category for its awarding this 2023, the “Best Score Soundtrack For Video Games And Other Interactive Media”. Â
The new award will recognize “excellence in score soundtrack albums comprised predominately of original scores and created specifically for, or as a companion to, a current videogame or other interactive media released within the qualification period”.
A new addition to the 65th #GRAMMYs, the Best Score Soundtrack For Video Games And Other Interactive Media Category will award #Composers championing musical innovation in gaming.

On top of the best video game soundtrack, they have also added five other awards namely Songwriter of the Year (Non-Classical), Best Alternative Music Performance, Best Americana Performance, Best Spoken Word Poet, and Best Song for Social Change.
