I skipped last year's Internet Marketing Boot Camp (IMBC) so I felt I couldn't decline another invite. Tumblr, a microblogging and social networking website, recently announced that it will be banning adult contents on their platforms starting December 17, 2018. As part of their move toward a better platform for their community, they will be banning adult content including photos, videos, GIFs that show explicit sexual content and nudity starting December 17, 2018. "Community members with content that is no longer permitted on Tumblr will get a heads up from us in advance and steps they can take to appeal or preserve their content outside the community if they so choose. All changes won’t happen overnight as something of this complexity takes time." - Jeff D’Onofrio, Tumblr CEO Users can report posts or content that violates this policy by tapping or clicking the share menu (paper airplane) at the bottom of the post, and hit "Report". For adult content already posted on Tumblr, the company will send out email notices to members of the Tumblr community whose content has been flagged as adult. TikTok is rolling out Shared Collections, a feature that lets users organize TikTok content together in one space, and is preparing to launch Shared Feeds for watching content based on shared interests.
