Corning has unveiled the newest glass protection for affordable smartphones: the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. According to Corning, the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i is made to cater to budget-friendly smartphones. It is said that the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i has handled up to one meter drops on surfaces similar to asphalt. The company also stated that the Gorilla Glass 7i is twice more scratch resistant than other lithium aluminosilicate cover glasses. There is no official announcement on what device will have the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i equipped. Samsung's latest flagship device, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, introduces the newest Corning Gorilla Armor 2. Samsung Electronics and Corning Incorporated unveils Corning Gorilla Armor 2 that is featured on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
