We were mulling between cheap CRT monitors and LCDs but it turns out a lot of shops have them in stock anymore. We wanted larger screens (17" or 19") so getting all flat screen LCDs would be a bit costly compared to the cheaper CRTs. My initial cost consideration at first was power consumption -- LCDs spend just about 10% of what the counterpart CRT would consume. I guess it's high time CRTs be phased out. At home, I already shifted all monitors to LCD over 2 years ago. Now all 4 monitors are LCDs -- they saves space and electricity.
