After a decade and a half of hiatus, Blizzard has officially reentered the console gaming platform as they release the controller-friendly version of Diablo 3 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. PlayStation 3 owners can also download the digital copy of the game through the online store, while Xbox 360 user will have to wait until October 4 for the game to be available on Xbox Live. IP e-Games today formally launched Diablo 3 in the Philippines to members of the media, bloggers and cosplayers in a short ceremony around noon. e-Games also shared that there was high demand for Diablo 3 and over 5,000 pre-orders were made as of May 13 for the boxed copies. Diablo 3 retails for Php3,150 and is now available in stores. For the uninitiated, Diablo 3 is a role-playing game with single-player or multi-player mode where you pick and develop characters as you accomplish tasks and missions. Diablo 3 is free when you sign up for the World of Warcraft annual pass or you can get separate license for $90SGD (or around Php3,000). On May 15, gamers from all over the country (and the rest of the world) will be glued to their PC screens for the grand opening of the Diablo 3 servers.
