DotA 2 International tournament is scheduled to start next week and the prize pool has reached a record of Php787 million as of press time. This is the highest prize pool for DotA 2 since the international tournament started several years ago. The prize used to be funded only by Valve but this has been changed to include pledges from DotA fans via digital "compendium" which fans could purchase to follow the event and contribute to the prize pool. Last year, the prize pool reached Php491 million with the champion, team Newbee, raking in Php225 million. 20 teams for PUBG Mobile and Dota 2 will compete in the upcoming Mineski Masters Playoffs, facing a prize pool of PHP 1.5 million. From 128 teams competing in the national PUBG Mobile tournament, only 16 will battle it out in the playoffs for the coveted title of battleground “True Master” that comes with a prize pool of PHP 500,000. Pancit Canton, where four Filipino wild card teams will face off with four invited pro-teams from the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia for a prize pool of PHP 1 million. The biggest tournament of the MMORPG scene: Cabal Mobile: Heroes of Nevareth, presents the Nevareth League 2021 with a prize pool worth PHP 2 million.
