YouTube has introduced a new AI-powered tool that helps creators spot and remove deepfake videos using their faces or likeness without permission. Through this new system, creators can access a “Content Detection” tab in YouTube Studio to review flagged videos that might feature their likeness. If a video appears fake or altered, they can request YouTube to take it down. However, YouTube warned that the tool is still being developed, meaning it might sometimes show clips from a creator’s own channel instead of fake ones.
