has been named the Philippines’ fastest internet provider for 2025 by Ookla, marking its third consecutive year at the top of the global network intelligence firm’s rankings. The fiber broadband provider also received several other key citations, including Best Video Experience with a Video Score of 75.60, Best Internet for Gaming with a Game Score of 82.33, and Best Fixed Network for overall reliability and consistency, reflected in a Connectivity Score of 73.77. Ookla’s awards are determined using millions of consumer-initiated speed tests and real-world performance data, making them a widely recognized benchmark for internet quality worldwide. Converge accelerated fiber rollout across more regions during the year, while also improving customer experience through network automation and infrastructure upgrades. According to Converge, its fiber-only approach has been central to delivering consistent speeds and low latency, particularly as demand for high-bandwidth services continues to grow. As it enters 2026, Converge said it will continue expanding its fiber footprint and enhancing network performance, aiming to sustain its lead amid intensifying competition in the Philippine broadband market. Converge has just announced that its fiber network has now reached over 500,000 kilometers. In a report to the NTC, Converge has said that it has laid down over 523,000 kilometers of fiber nationwide, more than double from last year where they rolled out 260,000 kilometers of total fiber assets.
