Fossil has just unveiled its newest generation Hybrid smartwatch for people wanting a middle ground between a traditional watch and a modern smartwatch. The Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid combines the best of both worlds by offering the style and look of classy watches but also smart features found in smartwatches, most notably support for Amazon Alexa. The Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid's design will feature physical watch hands but also customizable watch faces. Fossil also claims that its battery life can last up to 2 weeks. The Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid will be compatible with both Android and iOS. Fossil also released an update to its smartwatch companion app, Fossil Smartwatches. The Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid is available on Fossil's website for USD 229 with a leather or silicone wristband and USD 249 for the optional metallic bracelet model. In a surprising turn of events, reports from multiple sources, suggest that the renowned watch brand will no longer be launching smartwatches powered by Wear OS.
