The title is not a typo. Fossil Group is really planning on launching more than 300 connected watches or more commonly known as smartwatches this 2017 across its 14 brands.
Fossil Group’s smartwatches will come in multiple styles and sizes. There will be hybrid watches with discreet notifications and activity tracking that look like traditional watches. Also, full-round touchscreen watches with AMOLED displays powered by Android Wear 2.0 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 processor will be available. Aside from that, it’ll be loaded with branded micro-apps too from the brands.
During the Baselworld, a grand watch and jewelry fair in Switzerland, they showcased their latest designs. Since 2015, the group has brought more than 150 smartwatches including activity trackers worldwide from brands like Chaps, Diesel, Emporio Armani, Armani Exchange, Fossil, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Misfit, and Skagen. DKNY, Marc Jacobs, Michele, Relic, and Tory Burch will join the smartwatch game this year.
