The Samsung Gear S2 is the Korean-tech giant's own smartwatch running a homebaked Tizen OS. After a Samsung executive teased it online, the South Korean giant officially introduces its newest smartwatch -- the Gear S2. Dennis Miloseski, a Samsung VP and Head of Studio in Samsung Design America/Head of Samsung Mobile UXCA, posts on his Instagram the yet-to-be-revealed Gear S2 wearable to simply tease what it looks like when worn. Dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Gear, the device is worn like a digital watch but is a companion device to the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. The Galaxy Gear will be available in 6 color variants -- Jet Black, Mocha Gray, Wild Orange, Oatmeal Beige, Rose Gold, and Lime Green. Samsung will sell the Galaxy Gear for $299.
