Globe has announced their first DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Internet at home broadband postpaid service called Globe At Home Air. (Check the link here) The Globe At Home Air features up to 20Mbps speed, up to 600GB data capacity, and free access to content. After filling out the required online digital forms, paid the necessary fees, customers can already get their Globe At Home Air modems on the same day. Globe AT HOME is giving eligible customers free internet speed boosts of up to 1Gbps along with free WiFi 6 modem upgrades to help improve home connectivity for work, school, and entertainment. “In solidarity with the government’s call for energy conservation, Globe AT HOME is committed to making the remote work and education experience as seamless as possible,” said Abigail Cardino, Vice President and Head of Brand Management for Broadband Business at Globe. Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala has stepped down as chairman of Globe Telecom after nearly three decades, with Ayala Group veteran Cezar Consing named as his successor. Zobel, widely known as “Jaza,” has been a key figure in Globe’s growth, serving as chairman since 1996 and as a board member since 1989. Despite stepping down from the chairmanship, Zobel will continue to be involved in Globe through Asiacom Philippines Inc., a joint venture between Ayala Corp.
