In line with Google's other announcements in their I/O 2023 developer conference, Google also unveiled their new developments with Search through generative AI. Users will now be able to try new generative AI capabilities of Search via Search Labs, Google's portal to access early experiments in Google Search. With the new generative AI capabilities embedded in Search, users will now be able to understand topics faster as Search will automatically present different viewpoints and insights to a given topic. Search will automatically suggest next steps, as well as offer the ability to ask follow-up questions such as "How long to spend at Bryce Canyon with kids?" The Context of the search will be automatically carried over from question to question. Another new capability of Search with generative AI is shopping. Instead of merely receiving results about what type of bike to get for commuting (as seen below), Search will give you a quick overview of the important factors to consider with such a purchase.
