‘Server Error’: Google Search experiences widespread outage

Listen to article

Today, May 12, Google experienced a temporary outage, with thousands of users reporting issues with Google Search.

The error message displayed: “Server Error. We’re sorry but it appears that there has been an internal server error while processing your request.”

Users said Google Search was working intermittently, with some queries loading normally while others showed a server error. The issue impacted users who accessed the website from both desktop and mobile devices, but users reported that mobile devices experienced more significant problems.

Google has not announced an official statement for the outage yet, but the company has fixed similar service disruptions in previous situations through quick engineering efforts.
