Google is expanding Personal Intelligence to AI Mode in Google Search. This allows results to be made using a user’s own data from Google apps.

Starting today, Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers can opt in to securely connect Gmail and Google Photos to AI Mode.
According to Robby Stein, VP of Product for Google Search, the update aims to make Search more personal by using context such as emails, photos and past activity to generate more relevant answers.
Once enabled, AI Mode can reference items like travel bookings, shopping habits or personal memories to deliver customized recommendations for trips, shopping and everyday queries.
Google says the feature is fully optional and designed with privacy controls. AI Mode does not train directly on users’ Gmail or Photos content and connections can be turned off at any time.
The feature is rolling out as a Search Labs experiment for eligible U.S. subscribers using personal Google accounts. A global launch has not been announced just yet.
Workspace and education accounts are not supported for now.
