Google has recently rolled out 50 new AR animals to discover on Google Search on mobile. As posted on its official Twitter account, Google has revealed to offer more animals in 3D on their Google mobile app. At WWDC 2026, the company confirmed it partnered with Google, using the technologies behind Gemini, to create the next generation of Apple Foundation Models. Rather than relying strictly on its own hardware, Apple is looking to rely on Google's Gemini AI model running on NVIDIA’s latest Blackwell B200 data center graphics chips. Originally, rumors suggested Apple might use Google's own custom Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) for these cloud tasks, but the decision has officially flipped to NVIDIA's high-speed Blackwell architecture to ensure maximum performance and lower processing latency. In a recent court filing during the legal battle between Google and the US Department of Justice, Apple disclosed three key reasons behind this decision. Lastly, the company highlighted a fundamental difference in its business model: building a search engine would require developing a platform for targeted advertising, a space Apple has consciously avoided, as it does not align with its core values. This revelation comes amidst Apple’s involvement in Google’s antitrust defense against the US DOJ.
