Back in November, we reported the a Google StreetView Car was spotted along EDSA, noting the possibility of StreetView to be available locally . Today Google Philippines is formally launching Google Street View. Google is also introducing the Trekker which is a backpack with 15 camera lenses for 360 degree panorama shots. If you're already familiar with OpenDNS, then you have a good idea what this new Google Public DNS is all about. Two free services is always better than one. Google Public DNS is a free, global Domain Name System (DNS) resolution service, that you can use as an alternative to your current DNS provider. We have some pretty serious DNS problems with our ISPs here in the Philippines so having Google Public DNS (and OpenDNS) is always a good thing. There was some sort of mass panic last night when Google was spewing a warning "this site may harm your computer" on all their search results.
