Grab PH has just announced that they are suspending all their services in Luzon due to COVID-19 concerns beg. Services include GrabCar, GrabFood, GrabExpress, and GrabTrike. Brian Cu, President of Grab Philippines, stated that the suspension of operations is in accordance with the DOTr's directive regarding the Enhanced Community Quarantine imposed on the entirety of Luzon. He added: Nais ko rin pong ibahagi sa inyo na patuloy pa rin po tayong nakikipag-uganayan sa DOTr, LTFRB, at iba pang sangay ng pamahalaan upang imonitor ang public health situation na ito, at kami po ay patuloy na humahanap ng mga makabuluhang paraan upang tulungan at supportahan ang ating ka-Grab driver community. Grab's official Facebook page also mentioned that they are finding ways to continue serving the needs of Filipinos during these difficult times. Grab PH will be pausing its operations beginning March 17 until further notice. Grab resumes its 24/7 operations in Metro Manila and select provinces to strengthen public transportation amid the pandemic. Grab previously implemented earlier operating hours with drivers accepting passengers only up to 12 AM as compliant with the government guidelines for curfews and lockdowns.
