GrabTaxi, a smartphone-based e-hailing service in Southeast Asia, has announced that it is dropping the "Taxi" from its name and will be simply called - Grab. "Today, GrabTaxi is embarking on a new journey. GrabTaxi posted a teaser image of GrabHeli through their social media accounts with a tagline of "Awesome weekends up in the air" and a probable launch date of November 24, 2015. We are yet to know more about the new offering from GrabTaxi like the rates and areas of coverage for the service. Just recently, GrabTaxi offered GrabBike within Makati and Bonifacio Global City. Apart from sedan and premium vehicles, transport-app GrabTaxi now offers a new service using motorcycle taxis or locally known as habal-habal. GrabTaxi on its Facebook page announces that all GrabCar drivers are now on Assignment Feature which means a subscriber is guaranteed to an exclusive ride to the nearest available driver.
