The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is giving members and pensioners affected by Typhoons Tino and Uwan a much-needed breather with a three-month grace period on emergency loan payments. 1077, declaring a State of National Calamity due to Typhoon Tino’s widespread damage, underscoring GSIS’s commitment to supporting government workers and retirees in times of crisis. GSIS President and General Manager Jose Arnulfo Veloso said the move aims to help borrowers recover without the burden of immediate repayment. The GSIS Emergency Loan Program runs from November 7, 2025, to February 7, 2026, and is open to qualified members and pensioners through the GSIS website, GSIS Touch app, or any GSIS branch. OutSystems has just partnered with the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) of the Philippines to launch the GSIS Touch Mobile App. This provides its 2.5 million members and pensioners with easy access to the GSIS's services while applying for loans and services. OutSystems, a global leader in high-performance application development, helped develop its Motor Vehicle Processing system and provided the user interface and experience online training for the GSIS project team. The app itself is said to be further improved by the addition of facial recognition, a payment portal or further integration with other financial institutions, integration with the Philippine ID System for online, real-time Annual Pensioner Information Revalidation, and GSIS Touch as the portal to the GSIS eWallet.
