HUAWEI is reportedly launching their first-ever foldable PC next week. The news comes via a report from Huawei Central, with the rumored device called either the MateBook Fold Ultimate Design or HUAWEI MateBook RS. This is the latest offering in HUAWEI’s “Ultimate Design” line after the Mate XT tri-fold launched earlier this year. HUAWEI has yet to make any official confirmation, but a senior official mentioned before that they have unique products in the pipeline for 2025. Samsung is expected to launch a new foldable phone called the Galaxy Z Fold Wide this year, but it may already face competition from Huawei. Huawei recently introduced the Pura X Max, a foldable device with a shorter and wider screen design. The device has a design similar to earlier foldables like the Pixel Fold and OPPO Find N, focusing on a wider display for easier use. While the Fold 8 is expected to follow the usual tall design, the Fold Wide may adopt a shorter and wider screen, similar to Huawei’s new device.
