Xiaomi Global VP, Hugo Barra, has announced that he is leaving Xiaomi and plans to return to Silicon Valley. In a Facebook post, Barra announced that he is leaving Xiaomi after three and a half years of working at the company. If so, then allow Xiaomi’s own Hugo Barra to enlighten you with some of the necessary undertakings needed to export their products (even MiBunnies) to a particular market. In the short video below, Barra explains that Xiaomi had to make minor alterations to their products in order to make it more “localized”, as well as getting a stamp of approval from the government agency of the country where a given product will be sold. Mark Zuckerberg has announced that Hugo Barra will be joining Facebook to lead its virtual reality efforts, including its Oculus team. Hugo Barra, who recently announced that he is leaving Xiaomi with plans to go back to Silicon Valley, will be joining the social media giant as VP of Virtual Reality and lead the Oculus team. Zuckerberg says that Barra shares his belief that virtual and augmented reality will be the next major computing platform. Barra, on the other hand, said that he is looking forward to building the future of immersive technology with Facebook and Oculus team.
