Instagram Friends

Instagram is rolling out three new features to encourage more engagement in the platform. These include Reposts, Instagram Map, and the Friends tab. Instagram Map is a location-sharing feature that lets users share where they are in real-time with selected friends. Lastly, the new Friends tab (found in Reels) highlights Reels that friends engage with. It will include content from Blends, which is Instagram’s shared recommendation feature. Instagram Live is rolling out a new option to stream exclusively for a user's ‘Close Friends’ list. Again, the streams will only be available to a user’s curated Close Friends list.
