According to Instagram head Adam Mosseri, the feature addresses a common pain point among creators who want more flexibility in curating their posts after publishing. These include Reposts, Instagram Map, and the Friends tab. Instagram is streamlining its user experience by discontinuing the Content Notes feature for posts and Reels due to lackluster adoption. Consequently, the ability to add Content Notes to posts and Reels will soon be phased out, although the feature will remain accessible in Instagram Direct Messages for now.
