The Intel Core i9-14900KS debuts today as the company’s latest processor. This processor clocks up to 6.2GHz, which is 200MHz faster than its predecessor, the Intel Core i9-13900KS. While both processors mix high-performance and efficiency with 24 cores, the new i9-14900KS needs a bit more power at 150W. Intel claims that the i9-14900KS can deliver up to 15% better gaming performance when pressed against its predecessor. Intel has introduced its latest Core Ultra 200HX Plus mobile processors, targeting gamers, creators, and power users who need top-tier laptop performance. The new lineup includes the Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and Intel Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus, both designed to push performance further within the existing Core Ultra 200HX platform. Compared to older chips like the Intel Core i9-12900HX, gains can reach up to 62% in gaming performance. Systems powered by the Intel Core Ultra 200HX Plus series are already rolling out from major OEMs including Acer, ASUS, Dell (Alienware), HP, Lenovo, MSI, and Razer starting March 17, 2026.
