South Korean software engineer Jung Ki-young decided to splash some humor about Internet Explorer, and spent about 430,000 KRW (~USD 330) to make a headstone for the dead browser ahead of its official retirement date on June 15. Microsoft announced back in 2021 saying that Microsoft Edge was going to be the future of Internet Explorer in Windows. Now, the Internet Explorer 11 desktop application is set to retire and go out of support starting tomorrow, June 15. Internet Explorer was released back in 1995 and was widely used in the early 2000s with the browser peaking in 2003 with a 95% usage share.
