In a launch event intended for the announcement of the Apple Music and Beats 1, Apple has also announced that they will start seeding iOS 8.4 – the latest iteration of the tech giant’s mobile operating system – to all supported iPod Touch, iPhones and iPads. Apart from the usual performance improvements and bug fixes, the new iOS 8.4 features the addition of Apple’s new online music streaming service dubbed as Apple Music and worldwide radio service called Beats 1. The iOS 8.4 update is available for the iPhone 4s and later, iPod touch (5th generation) and later, and iPad 2 and later. These models are no longer eligible for modern iOS updates, making this release especially important for users who still rely on them. This update comes more than three years after the last iOS 12 release in January 2023.
