Apple Inc.’s next iPhone will use a portion of LTE and Wi-Fi  modems from Intel Corporation in some versions of their upcoming handset. Intel reportedly has 1,000 or more employees working on preparing the Intel 7360 LTE modem for the iPhone 7 lineup. The 7360 LTE modem chip from Intel features faster theoretical download speed of up to 450 Mbps, upload speed of up to 100 Mbps, and support for LTE category 10 and 29 LTE bands overall. Basically, it means that the iPhone 7 could have even faster LTE speeds for browsing the web, downloading apps, streaming video, and other data-related tasks. According to Bloomberg‘s report, Intel is supplying the modems for AT&T-compatible iPhones, as well as some models sold overseas. Intel has also secured a significant portion of the LTE chips, likely in the range of 30 to 40 percent of production. Point your iPhone camera at something and ask Siri about it.
