Huawei is said to be developing an ARM-based Kirin PC chip with rumors of its release this year. The Huawei Kirin PC chip in question rivals the Snapdragon X laptop processors from Qualcomm and is even said to be on par with the latest Apple M3. Huawei relies on SMIC as its semiconductor manufacturer, and recent reports point to it being capable of producing 5-nanometer chips. Adding to that, early reports claim that the Kirin PC chip will also adopt a unified architecture similar to Apple M-Series chips. As of writing, the Chinese giant hasn’t mentioned anything yet about working on a Kirin PC chip. Huawei Central predicts that the Kirin PC chip may debut on the said MateBook laptop. The Redmi Note 15 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Ultra chipset, while the Note 15 Pro+ uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 platform. It’s also the first smartphone to run on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, paired with up to 16GB of RAM for fast and stable performance.
