It's hard to be in a situation when you're far off from a charger or powerbank and you get too conscious of your battery life. There's been a huge growth in the demand for pocket rechargeable batteries this year due to the growing smartphone market. The folks at aMagic in Hong Kong sent us one of their own rechargeable batteries to test out. This particular model looks like a large AA battery with a curved mid-section. The ports are found at one end of the battery -- a micro-USB port for charging the battery itself and a regular USB port for charging any other device from the battery. The aMagic battery has a maximum charge capacity of 2600mAh which is pretty decent for its size and weight. The guys from Mugen Power emailed me last week asking if I'd like to check out their line-up of extended batteries and so I told them I have around half a dozen smartphones. So they shipped me 4 extended batteries from Hong Kong -- Optimus 2X, HD7, Xperia X10 and Desire, with varying battery capacities for each.
