Now, Apple is doing the same treatment for the MacBook Air M3 and M2 models. While this is great news for many, those who recently purchased previous M3 and M2 MacBook Air models with 8GB RAM may be disappointed. Apple has just announced that its new Macbook Air with M2 chip will be available to order beginning July 8 and will be available to customers worldwide on July 15. Apple announced a refreshed version of their Macbook Air for 2013. Probably the most disappointing is that the 11.6-inch Macbook Air remained with the same paltry 1366x768-pixel resolution (as opposed to full HD 1080p 1920x1080pixels from other brands since last year). New 2013 Macbook Air specs: Intel Core i5 Haswell 1.3GHz dual-core Intel HD 5000 Graphics 4GB or 8GB DDR3 RAM 128GB, 256GB SATA SSD 2 x USB 3.0 ports 720p Facetime camera WiFi 802.11 a/c Bluetooth 4.0 Thunderbolt Mac OS X Mountain Lion The 11-inch model can be upgraded to an Intel Core i7 1.7GHz CPU, 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD. The refresh of the new 11.6" and 13.3" Macbook Air last July 2011 has introduced more powerful Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors into the line-up.
