After mulling over that busted Canon EF 17-85mm lens, I thought it might be a sign to go buy a new walk-around lens (perhaps an L lens) but I ended up getting a macro lens instead (Canon EF 100mm). Was having a hard time at first choosing between the 50mm, 60mm and the 100mm macro but for the extra distance the latter provides, I thought it was the best choice. So, it's true what they say that "getting into macro takes you to a whole new world of photography". Bumped into Art Samaniego of Manila Bulletin during the Nokia N82 Adventure II launch this afternoon and he casually mentioned that there's a new Canon Lens Sale promo going on at Digital Zone. True enough, the prices from previous lens sale was pulled down a bit more, plus a couple new models. Microsoft is reportedly preparing to discontinue its Microsoft Lens app. The app, formerly called Office Lens, currently has over 50 million downloads on Google Play Store.
