Maxus, a car manufacturer based in China, has launched its Utility Pick-up Truck in the Philippines, the Maxus T60 2020. Ford Philippines has officially launched the Ford Ranger FX4 MAX, the latest addition to the Ranger pickup truck lineup. Like the Ranger Raptor and Wildtrak 4x4, powering the Ford Ranger FX4 MAX is a 2.0-liter Bi-Turbo diesel engine, which is capable of generating 213PS of power and 500NM of torque. The Ford Ranger FX4 MAX is priced at PHP 1,698,000, and it is now available in all Ford dealerships nationwide. The DTI mandates the imposition of provisional safeguard duties on imported vehicles. In order to manage the impact of the safeguard duty to its customers, Ford Philippines is taking on the partial amount of the tariff for selected Ranger variants. Ford Philippines has recently revealed its strengthened leadership in the pickup and small SUV segments, with the strong sales of its Ranger and Territory vehicles in 2020. Ford Ranger has been recognized as the country’s best-selling 4x4 pickup truck in 2020 with a commanding 41% market share. This pushed Ford’s overall market share to 24% in the pickup segment, obtaining Ranger’s position as one of the two best-selling pickups in the market last year.
