#MediaTek Dimensity 1080

MediaTek has unveiled the Dimensity 1080—the successor to its mid-range chipset, Dimensity 920—that brings improved efficiency and performance, plus an upgraded camera support of up to 200MP for 5G smartphones. MediaTek Dimensity 1080 The Dimensity 1080 runs on 6nm process providing a host of 'power-saving benefits' for longer battery life. Where Dimensity 1080 shines is its camera capabilities that can handle image data from sensors of up to 200MP (its predecessor handles 108MP) through its image signal processor (ISP) called Imagiq. Just like the Dimensity 920, the Dimensity 1080 can shoot hardware accelerated HDR video of up to 4K resolution; gaming-centric features like HyperEngine 3.0 and integrated AI processing unit 3.0 (APU 3.0); and supports sub-6GHz 5G networks and Wi-Fi 6. MediaTek says smartphones powered by the Dimensity 1080 will be available in the market in the fourth quarter of 2022. MediaTek has unveiled the Dimensity 9500s, a powerful new chip aimed at sub-flagship smartphones, sitting just below the top-tier Dimensity 9500. MediaTek has quietly announced its newest mid-range chipset, the Dimensity 7100, stepping up as the latest option for upcoming 5G smartphones. Graphics get a boost too, thanks to the Mali-G610 GPU, which MediaTek says is 8% faster than the Dimensity 7050.
