MediaTek has announced a new addition in the Dimensity series, the Dimensity 9400e. It is positioned as a flagship chip, though it is likely to be designed for sub-flagship devices.

The 9400e is a 4nm chip composed of All Big Core config, including one 3.4GHz Cortex-X4 prime, three 2.85GHz Cortex-X4, and four 2.0GHz Cortex-A720 performance cores.
As for graphics processing, it uses a 12-core Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU with hardware accelerated ray tracing, Star Speed Engine Adaptive Control 2.0 and Dimensity Frame Double Technology 2.0+.
Notably, this CPU and GPU config is the same as the Dimensity 9300+.
For memory, it supports 8533MHz LPDDR5x and UFS 4.0 + MCQ storage.
Connectivity-wise, the 9400e support 7.3Gbps Wi-Fi bandwidth, a faster Bluetooth 6.0 with dual Bluetooth engine with a claimed 5km range within line of sight.
Alongside the announcement, both realme and OnePlus announced their upcoming phone releases rocking the Dimensity 9400e, which are the OnePlus Ace5 Racing Edition and realme GT 7, respectively.
Previous reports suggest that the 9400e is up to par with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, but that remains to be seen.
