"Picture-in-Picture (PiP) allows users to watch YouTube videos in a small mini player while simultaneously browsing outside of the YouTube app on their mobile device. Smart Communications has received the Best Mobile Video Experience award from Ookla, recognizing the company’s performance in mobile video streaming. According to Ookla’s analysis, Smart achieved a Video Score of 78.60, placing it ahead of other mobile operators in the Philippines. Ookla’s Video Experience metric evaluates real-world streaming performance based on three factors: video start time, uninterrupted playback, and the ability to stream content in full HD resolution. According to Ookla, higher scores indicate that users are more likely to experience faster video start times, minimal buffering, and consistent high-definition playback. Smart said the award highlights ongoing investments in network infrastructure aimed at supporting increasing demand for video streaming and other real-time mobile applications.
