Google appears to be renaming its Android file-sharing service "Nearby Share" to "Quick Share," according to reports from prominent users on X. Renaming Nearby Share to Quick Share without merging the services would leave Samsung devices with two "Quick Share" options—an unnecessary source of confusion for users already unfamiliar with the differences.
