Netflix has just announced that it is canceling multiple shows and movies after the previously reported loss of subscribers. According to sources, Netflix has canceled multiple shows, a lot of them animation projects, including an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The Twits, an animated series based on Jeff Smith’s comic book Bone, plus Lauren Faust’s Toil and Trouble, and Bright 2 are some of the projects that were canceled by Netflix. Furthermore, Netflix’ Director of Creative Leadership and Development for Original Animation, Phil Rynda, was let go by the company alongside many of the staff under him. There’s no clear number on the amount of shows that were canceled by Netflix but as the company is bracing the loss of 2 million more subscribers, more shows are at risk of being canceled soon. Netflix has climbed to almost 6 million subscribers after the password sharing crackdown. "We're seeing healthy conversion of borrower households into full paying Netflix memberships as well as the uptake of our extra member feature," Netflix has stated. Their revenue, however, is lower than expected with Netflix having USD 8.2 billion in sales from April to June.
