Nikon has announced that it is developing its next-generation full-frame (Nikon FX-format) mirrorless camera and NIKKOR lenses featuring a new mount. The Sony RX1R III, a premium compact camera that promises full-frame power in a pocketable body. It packs a 61MP full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor (yup, the same one from Sony’s flagship mirrorless line) paired with the BIONZ XR image processor. The Sony RX1R III is now official as the latest model in its flagship, compact full-frame camera line. Among the third-gen model's highlights are its 61-megapixel 35mm full-frame Exmor R CMOS image sensor, BIONZ XR image processing engine, and a ZEISS Sonnar T* 35mm F2 lens. Sony has announced the FE 50-150mm F2 GM (SEL50150GM), the world’s first full-frame telephoto zoom lens with a constant F2 aperture and 150mm maximum focal length, designed for professionals in portrait, wedding, indoor sports, and video production. Xingyao Optics has announced its first full-frame autofocus lens, the AF85mm F1.8, with a launch scheduled for January 6, 2025, at 8:00 PM. This is a big deal for the company as it enters the full-frame lens market, after launching its APS-C lens last year.
