#ookla Philippines’ Mobile and Fixed Broadband Internet Speeds

Ookla recently updated their Speedtest Global Index for February 2022 indicating the Philippines’ average mobile download speed at 18.79 Mbps, and average fixed broadband download speed at 49.10 Mbps. Philippines’ mobile internet speeds ranked even lower at 94th with the said download speed, an average upload speed of 5.61Mbps, and 23ms latency. While for the fixed broadband internet speeds, the country is down at 68th ranking with the said average download speed, upload of 46.92Mbps, and 6ms latency. And the fastest fixed broadband internet for the month is in Chile with 197.59Mbps. Ookla is the company behind Speedtest which comprises fixed broadband and mobile network testing applications, data, and analysis globally. Globe has secured multiple recognitions from Ookla® for the second half of 2025, earning titles as the Most Consistent Mobile Network, Most Consistent Fixed Network, and Widest 5G Coverage provider in the Philippines. For Q3 to Q4 2025, Globe recorded a Mobile Consistency Score of 87.51%, while its Fixed Broadband Consistency Score reached 88.84% in Q4 2025. Globe also reported year-on-year speed growth, with average mobile speeds reaching 34.8 Mbps (up 8%) and broadband speeds rising to 120.4 Mbps (up 36%).
